Shareholders are everything to large companies. Look at this Share holders report from Hasbro. http://files.shareholder.com/downloads/HAS/1495407148×0×472637/CA3D1E2E-A938-4BBE-8FAF-A3B3C69E59EF/2009AR.pdf It says “The Consumer is in Control”… These are the people who we design for. This is an incredible opportunity to analyze how a company looks at product/identity development.

If that doesn’t work… Try this http://investor.hasbro.com/annuals.cfm. There is the 2010 annual report there.

Don’t try and print it out. It is 107 pages. Shareholdes are everything to a company because the shareholders want to see a profit from their investment or they may pull their money out and go somewhere else with it. That is why the company wants you to send them your best idea that you have done your research on and not just slap something together and hope they GET your idea. They want winners, because it is their money and the shareholders money they are taking a chance on to make the profit. It does not take to many flops to drive a company in the ground.
That is why those large companies use Toy Brokers to hopefully weed out the nutcases and the ones that swear their idea does not exist, when it actually does but they did not take 30 minutes to try and find that out before sending them the idea.

Who got a chance to read that? Is that not an eye opener or what?
