This question is for Edison Nation
Have you ever made rash decision that you later regretted?
Whether winner or loser (winner meaning the product turned out to be a winner product after you turned it down and then felt or thought you should’ve put more effort or work in it) or vice versa
thanks,

Sometimes I feel that some of my biggest mistakes were to not do something about my ideas years ago. But I also learned to appreciate things more, without letting wealth spoil me. I really could not afford to do much though. And I have said for years that when you can afford to buy whatever you want, whenever you want, you don’t appreciate what you have as much. When a young couple struggles together and works together to achieve their goals, they build lifetime memories, and a loving bond. So there is something to be said for the struggle. I now feel mature enough to enjoy any wealth that may come my way. Any I am now ready to stop my lifetime of struggling. |

I probably make a wrong rash decision at least 2 times per day. The best thing that happens is I get a chance to make another decision, usually imediately, sometimes that is to simply get a bandaid…lol In the last month of indepth, on the ground market research, I have probably made at least 5-7 wrong ones that have cost me at least $500.00 and on my shoe string budget that is like our national debt to my micro company. In all reality, I see it as an investment. If I had hired an outside firm to do this research at 5 different venues accross North Florida, I am sure the bill would have been 5-10 thousand dollars…. So I see myself as $9,500.00 to the good.. Just keep plugging. The best thing about a limited budget, you don’t have the money to make real big mistakes.. I came across a bit of cash, I thought after a year I had my final scraper design carved in stone, so I ordered 500 of them at almost 1,000 dollars back in December, the guy said his price was going up Jan 1….. Well, right after I ordered/paid, I was in my lab, nothing was selling on my first ebay add and I was taking my inventory. I came to the conclusion that I never use all the custom scraper tips because my brush design does such a great and efficient job of cleaning. Now those custom tips take a lot of labor to cut, so I designed a Jr. model without them and I am able to sell it 20% cheaper and still make a fair profit. It has become the best seller and now I have a lifetime supply of the “Classic” on my shelf….. Probably the best 1,000.00 I spent. With my lazer cutting supplier scaring me with even higher prices, it kicked in my inovative/problem solving juices. Never quit, don’t look outside the box, tear the box up and throw it in the trash… |

Hi Sarkis, I believe we all have done things we we wish we hadn’t. As with EN, they just have to go with what there search sponsers are looking for at that time. There is a time and place for everything we do. |
