Keep on inventing, nearly ever week we think of some great new idea, only to find it on line, or in a patent search, you’ll find you niche and the two of you will invent something new and great!

I like your response Patricia well said and i think heather you have a bright little girl their and the seed you have planted may pay off one day. Best wishes to the both of you from across the pond.

Heather you both need hugs because your just so special!! I love that you are sharing this experience with your daughter …. what you both have together along this journey is Priceless and will last a lifetime!!

Heather, I love that your daughter is getting involved so young. My 6 year old son is too! Don’t give up, we all have been down and then get that next GREEN tick mark and we are happy again…stay positive and good luck!

I have worked on a couple of ideas with my kids too. My 18 yr old son and I bounce ideas off of each other all the time. My 10 year old daughter came up with a really cool idea and it was so much fun watching her mind work. The time spent together is invaluable! Heather every minute you spend together with your daughter coming up with ideas and being creative will payoff 10 fold! Getting kids involved in the creation process is so much fun! Enjoy! You will have a Little Edison on your hands very soon!

Don’t give up, so many great ideas took years to come to market, and I think that everyone has at least one great idea or more in them, and it might not have work out this time, but you will find that idea, that no one has ever dream off, keep dreaming and keep inventing, and oh! no rejection is never easy, it happens to all of us. the key is to pull yourself up by the bootstraps and keep on cranking, God Bless :)

Very funny Greg! Actually, I’m just masquerading as the Eggies lady……in my real life, I’m that TV journalist lady! I teach a TV News class and I tell the students about my career. There’s always one who says, ‘Wow, you’ve had some GREAT jobs’. And then I say, ‘Those are just the ones that I’m telling you about. I could cover a whole wall in my living room with rejection letters from News Directors who didn’t hire me’.

Point is, I was determined to be a TV Newscaster, no-one or nothing was going to stop me. Each rejection made me a little tougher and even MORE focused. I think partnering with your daughter on ideas is AWESOME! She sounds creative, and enthusiastic, nothing should ever slow that down! Obviously in anything we do there are no guarantees…..but it is guaranteed that NOTHING will happen if we don’t try. SO Heather, don’t run out of steam……put the tea kettle back on!!!!!!!! :-)

Kudos to both of you! My daughter has her own book of inventions. She really enjoys it and sparks up interesting conversations. Don’t give up! Of course, every time we hear a “no” it brings us down. But by the next day we are back at it. Our motto’ “Ya nev’a know ’till ya try try and try again”.

Heather, it is obvious you are a very involved Mom – your daughter will remember these times shared with you….and something tells me she will look back and the emphasis will not be so much on X this or X that or Green this or Green that….but on the memories you two are making together——-and that is PRICELESS.

Sounds like you are doing a great momming job Heather. Kids are amazing and have so much to teach us. The idea of inventing just for the fun of it is a wonderful attribute. I’ll bet you two are a great team.

Oh absolutely don’t give up! Just think: if your daughter is just 7 years old now and coming up with amazing idea, she’s not gonna stop anytime soon! Nurture that little Edisonette and you two will be coming up with tons more ideas! Good luck!

Sorry to hear about your disappointment… Though it may not have paid off this time, you and your daughter certainly have a lot to be proud of. I know it’s tough to not throw in the towel. But any time you feel like you are running out of steam, take a loooooong look at your 7 yr old daughter’s face and see the infinite hope and promise of her smile… That will certainly kick start the old engine. Please know everyone out here is pulling for you!!!
