Generic avatars

Living up to my nickname The Grinch…I have to say those generic avatars really bug the crap out of me,it’s like talking to someone with a brown paper bag over thier head. It doesn’t need to be a picture of your face anything would do to give you some sort of idenity. Well thats my gripe for the day!

Damn, Mr. Ed! You promised you would never show this home movie – now everyone knows. You still look as good now as you did when you were shaking your little mariaches – or whatever they are called. ;0)

And in just a few days! Maybe I had the talent all along – I just needed to be coached and hang out with the bad boys. You are my hero, Karl!

Bag IS better than those stupid drawings done in bad colors: they look like the construction paper projects I did as a kid.

Thank you, Carrie – that is just too precious. Assuming it is you or at least someone you know. ;0)

Colonel, Maybe I could get some free advertising if we would make the pillowcase over a head one of the choices for an avatar.

Let’s get back to generic avatars: I have gently mentioned the avatar and then insulted and done all I can with one female who insists she uses the male avatar because she has short hair. I give up: if insults don’t work, nothing will.

Once I get Grinchiness under my belt, I will expect to be called Her Grinchness. (Many people who know me would say that I have already arrived although that isn’t what they call me…)

Julie,Don’t feel left out mental illness is not a desirable asset,it makes normal things and hard things even harder or at least a little slower. But Grinchiness can be obtained by anyone with just a little practice!

Golly, I feel so left out: David is dyslexic and Karl is bipolar. Oh, almost forgot, the color on the bottle states “Blonde” so that is my ‘ailment’. Also forgot about the training I am going through to become a Grinchess – maybe wouldn’t be doing that if I wasn’t blonde. OR, maybe it is all old age…..

Thank you, Colonel, for helping people with their Avatars: once you solve the current pet peeve, we will have to come up with another one.

Thanks for responding. It will not let me expand the crop area. It just stays small in the corner.

Does anyone know why I can’t “crop” my avatar picture? It will only let me show the corner of the photo. Thanks in advance.

Good morning Julie! David I’m not dyslexic as far as i know but am bipolar which often causes problems with information processing. I have been a cabinet maker for over 20 years yet i have days when i am unable to transfer a mesurement to a board so i sometimes have to make a pencil mark on my tape mesure to get the job done…frustrating!

David, Thank you for the education: I think I might be a little too critical sometimes. Maybe I’m in training to become a Grinchess….

I’m with you, Karl. And the worse generic avatars are the man but with a woman’s name. Maybe its not just me who is confused about that person’s sexuality: maybe that is a subtle way of coming out.
