Sorry, I’m not going. But maybe you could contact a Chicago inventor’s group and maybe meet some of their members at the show. They ought to be real welcoming, considering that you’re coming from Canada.

Since you’ve been reading these forums, I know you know how to protect yourself from scams. So have fun!

I have been to inventor ‘gatherings’ in the States before. They’re usually a very friendly group of people and the ones running the events are extremely hospitable when they hear you’re a visitor in their country.

Thanks Linda.. Your advice is understood. I’ve had some unsolicited contact from lets say “questionable” companies ever since my patent was published. I took one contract to my lawyers and her exact words were " I don’t even like the COLOR of the PaPer this contract is written on!! lol needless to say.. I didn’t sign. Well I’ll let you know how Chicago goes. Wish me luck.

Roger, I understand that, I got a lot of unsolicited mail when my patent was granted and two years later I still get it from time to time, but it always goes into the trash…….If I want your business or services I will call you…….I never deal with unsolicited services……….

LOL! Eh, have to wonder what color the contract was. Good luck, and let us know if the show was worth the time, travel, and money. Sure hope it will be! (;^)

Thanks Julie.. I received the list of pitch times and the names and I don’t see her name but I’ll keep an eye out for her. I would imagine I will come away from this 4 days with many new contacs.
