What kind of moron spends that much money upfront ??? With $23k I could build molds, create 10,000 units, file for North American Patents and start up an online store like at Amazon or whatever. I have the money but you should never blow through your own cash to push an invention out. If you have to spend that kind of money for your idea, either your idea is worthless, or you haven’t tried hard enough to get people interested in it, loan officers, investors, licensees etc |

Just an update…. Complaint Regarding Invention Promoter Name of the Invention Promotion Company: Absolutely New, Inc. Invention Promoter’s Address: 650 Townsend St., Suite 475, San Francisco, CA 94103 Complainant’s Name: Cammie R. McDaniel Complainant’s Address: 1931 S. Clark St., Unit B, Chicago, IL 60616 Customer’s Name: Cammie R. McDaniel Back to top What is your complaint? Invention promotion service offered to be performed: Representation and promotion of invention at trade shows, one page information sheet, and CD-ROM within specified time. Explanation of complaint between customer and invention promoter: Absolutely New, Inc. was paid $23,880 January 7, 2008 to develop, market, promote, and commercialize my invention by procuring a license agreement within the forms of the contract. They violated the contract because schedule 1, Product Development Services in the contract states Absolutely New shall perform the following Product Development Services: Within (90) days Absolutely New, Inc’s finalization of the product design shall deliver each (1) 3 dimensional design (2) basic animation and rendering (3) CAD Design Control/Dimensional drawings (4) Presentation package containing each on CD-ROM. The one page Information Sheet and CD-ROM where not received until July 21, 2008; clearly after (90) ninety days. The finalization of the one page sheet was 2-17-08. This was still out of the days spelled out in the contract. I was in contact with Ken Wong, Project Coordinator that they were being negligent in completing the project and they sent the proofs with misspelled words and grammar issues. Absolutely New is a scam company and they make no effort to comply with contracts or provide professional standards. They should be shut down and ceased from taking inventor’s money. Signed: /s/ Cammie R. McDaniel Date: 4/10/09 |

I get mail from Absolutley New way too much…they are becoming hounds. All this because I spoke on the phone with a rep and he wanted about 3 grand and a contract? I was up front and told them I wouldnt spend a penny to them yet they keep trying. I would shy away from this company,,just my opinion. |

The reason I got on to this site was that I had been sent a letter expressing interest in my patent.I was looking around for info on them.I’ve been to their site. They seem to have introduced and licensed out a few products[though what percentage of solicitations that represents I dont know].They are referenced in inventoreds.[the sound of something inaudible in the background, maybe it’s the sound of one hand clapping |

The quickest way to get them to show their true colors is to ask " How many of the Inventors you represent have made more money from their invention than they paid you?" They normally try to shift the conversation back to their pitch. |

Thanks Danny and Will, I wasn’t interested in doing business with them but always thought that a company that contacts you about taking your product to the next level are always in for the take. |

Chic, You might want to check out this website. http://www.inventored.org/caution/ip&r/ (make sure to copy and paste the whole link….it might not work it you just click on it from the forum page.) It has a bunch of information on this company that contacted you and several of their other D.B.A.’s (Doing Business As) names. One of their more popular (older?) names is IP&R Over two years ago I had also been in contact with this company and I decided it would have been a BAD idea for me to get involved with them. Hope this helps, |
