I am new here and can’t quite figure out what I need to do with my idea. Right now I have a good idea of how it will work and I have some general sketches. I don’t have a patent or patent pending on it. What is my next step? I thought I could just submit the idea and then EN would take it from there, but it doesn’t look like it works that way. It doesn’t fit any of the current product searches either.

Welcome Daniel and Jeff! Loving that avatar, Jeff :). To answer your question, yes to all. I have submitted with drawings, protototypes, videos, pictures, and just well thought out (at least I think so) explanations in the submissions form. Best of luck to you both!

Welcome Daniel & Jeff:
We have all been new here and there is a great deal to learn from the forums here. The little search button up there can lead you to so much information it is amazing. Lessons from Roger Brown etc.
A prototype is not required.
Good Luck to you both.

Yeah I’m new here too! What do people on here normally submit for their ideas? Do you all make prototypes etc.? Or do you ever just submit an idea that is well thought out with lots of sketches?

Hi Daniel! Welcome!
There will be another Innovation Fund search soon.
I’d say polish it up and get ready to hit the “submit” button when that starts up again. Good luck!
(And you’re right. They will take it from there.)
