Thanks Andrea. I’m actually in AZ and I have talked to a local lawyer here who wants to send his own researcher to do the patent search in VA, on my dime of course. I’m just starting with the process and read somewhere that it would be cheaper to get someone local in the VA area to do the search. My local lawyer, we only communicate via phone and e-mail anyway so I might as well get someone closest to the USPTO office to do the whole thing.

here is mine: I don’t think it’s necessary to do it in your own area…but here is a great lawyer! Nice and takes your calls immediately!
