I have to patent five products and a patent lawyer is not within my budget for all five. I saw this advertisement in our magazine, so if you have any information you would like to share, it will be appreciated.

Hi Gladys

just patent them yourself, a PPA is only $105.00 or more.

It’s actually $110 now to file a PPA Joseph.

We bought Stephen Key’s Patent Software for $200 and it’s a breeze! We do all our own PPA’s now.

That is really good Patrice…I wrote my own PPA’s…don’t be afraid to write your own patents. When you do a patent search you will clearly see people who wrote their own patents because they will lack all the overdone legaleze…meaning they are written in plain english.

The USPTO will also take your calls and talk and advise you without any rush. They are GREAT that way. They also now have a program to assist independent inventors on writing their patents themselves. We all should be taking advantage…but the claims are so important…one mistake and you can lose all.

If you can’t afford patent attorney/agent you should look into assistance from the USPTO. Maybe the patent software works too…don’t know much about it…it’s kind of new.

I checked out the patentpro website. It seems that it could help someone wanting to do it themselves. But if you find books on the subject or even see their own page which is said to be a review of the product, it walks you through the steps by reading that. I am not sure how much more you would get from them more than reading examples of other;s homemade ones on the patent office patent search. I went to amazon and ebay to see if anyone was selling theirs on the cheap.

Let me know if anyone buys one and how it works for them.

this is the evaluation page for how it works. I think it is by patent pro themselves… sneaky.
But it shows you a completed patent and compares it to another that is not them. I guess they are trying to say the non patent pro one is from an attorney, but they do not say that. The cost seems higher that they are pitching too, so it may be an old ad.

Hi guys,
I thank all of you for your view on this matter.

Celeste, I feel the same way, I am not convinced.

Mark, thanks any way, but I have not head from Mark.

Patrice, I think you and Joe are right, going with Stephens program sounds best. I think I will go that way.

Ron, if it worked for you it can work for me.

Chic, yes that is the one, any good feed back?

Thanks again Guys & Dolls
Glad

http://www.inventright.com/Patent_Wizard.shtml

Was $199, right now it’s $149, plus there is no shipping fee since you are
downloading the software directly to your computer.

From InventRight’s forum:
“Michael Neustel, patent attorney does an awesome job. On our site we sell his software” Patent wizard" for $149. His software is a great tool, it walks you through ,step by step the process of a PPA. The software teaches you to write your own PPA. When you purchase his software through our site, Michael even reviews your application, a value of over $300 alone. I have to admit this is a wonderful, Fantastic, value. Please don’t miss out."

Note: No, I don’t get any type of commission regarding this posting…
Hmmm, I think I need to send an e-mail!?

Hey All -

I’ve recently used Patentease and found it to be very user friendly. I used it in preparing my utility patent application for filing with the USPTO. It’s well worth the investment, especially in preparing future PPAs.
