Submitting Idea

I noticed that EN is saying that I do not have to have a patent to submit and I have read some of the posts. So how does this work with the Live Product Searches? Do they help apply for the patent before presenting to the ‘outside’ companies? Would they help me patent the product if we got to that stage? I have a great idea for a kitchen product, I have not patented it yet. Thoughts?

Glad to help! Peter, if you plan on entering often, you may want to take a look at the insider benefits, you can save a fair amount of $$ if you plan on entering often.

Hi Penster,

Thanks for the info! I read through the topic that you linked and I think it is certainly another reason to stick with EN when ever possible. For 25 bucks per submission, how can you go wrong?

Hi Peter:

Most recent I would say Eggies knockoffs. Look at the success page and you have probably seen knockoffs of those as well.

So much goes on with EN we don’t always see it but once & awhile it surfaces here..see link.

Hi Penster.
I have no doubt that EN would require an NDA in order to protect everyone’s interest. Are their instances that can be cited wherein EN has aggressively pursued copiers?

When they enter into an LPS agreement with a company I would expect there to be a binding non disclosure agreement and more in order to protect EN and the inventors. Their legal team would no doubt enforce terms with a vengance should that happen.

Case in point, some of the products selling now that EN brought to market have had “copies” and their legal team takes aggressive action.

Thanks Penster. So what would stop the company who is being pitched the idea from EN from stealing the idea? I did read the process but didn’t understand what would prevent said ‘company’ from moving forward with your unpatented idea.

Welcome Jamie:

Check out the About Us tab for more information and how EN works and the FAQ’s. I believe EN does not patent before finding a home for the product. If your idea is selected, EN does ALL the work.
