Thomas,

The IronCAD program goes for $3,500.00 and the Innovate program goes for $1,300.00 You might do better contacting one of the distributors for IronCad. I started with V7 and now they are up to V10. I paid a lot less back then but the program has really evolved from V7.

Tom,,
Thanks for the tip on IronCAD, I looked at their website and it looks like a great product, but I saw no pricing listed, any idea what it costs?

I like IronCAD its very intuitive program. IronCAD is probably one of the easiest CAD programs to learn. I went to a solid works presentation years ago and was totally lost. I researched IronCAD online and realized this was a CAD program I could master. I had the program for 4 years and I love it. I have used it for patent drawings, machine drawings and virtual prototypes.

Thanks David,, as many times as I have looked at you tube i never thought of looking there for a tutorial.

So does anyone want to put their 2 cents in on what is better for our needs between Inventor and Solid Works?
