Here’s a website I recently found and thought I’d share:

http://www.emachineshop.com

Although I’ve downloaded the free cad software I haven’t dealt with them yet

Cheers!

The free software could be fun small quantity prices will always be top dollar. And is expected. You have to speculate to accumulate.
I have made my own prototypes and used local engineers then moved onto rapid prototyping from 3D cad. Now i am bashing 3d cad myself this can really give the wow factor to your creation and also can create mould drawings etc. Considering doing some night school if i can find the right cores, All these small moves add up. I am very grateful for my simple construction carpenter career and it has been a great platform for what i am doing now.

Just using their software to generate manufacturing cost estimates would be cool. If anyone at EN has contracted for injection mold tooling elsewhee, maybe they could run their models through emachineshop to determine a scaling factor. Could be pretty useful.

Thanks Randy. I put it to my Favorites and will download. I have a local shop that I sometimes use but I like the idea
of using the interactive software.

I know someone that ordered a sample from ProtoMold . com They have reasonable prices for low production quantities of injection molded parts. I think they also have partner companies that do CNC machining (and maybe sewing?).
