If you could put this in the back of your head, I’d appreciate it:

I have been going through some old posts and, although timely or humorous then, I would like to clear out some of my past ramblings that don’t help the researchers looking up information.

Is there a way that I can pull up just my posts (similar to the current search feature), or, add the author to the existing search parimeter.

One feature that I would love to see (but I don’t want to take you away from your Spencer’s Fatal Friday duties) is for an email notification when there is movement on your dashboards.

I laughed out loud when I read Fatal Friday. I’m really excited about the Spencer’s ideas and have a slightly more “glass is half full” view of it. I can’t wait to see the look on their faces when I tell them about these ideas :-)

Wow, where did that come from? 42 days ago when I posted that, I was cleaning up some of my old ramblings, and hoped I could use search to pull up my posts, instead of reading through every thread. As it is of little timeline importance, I was hoping Matt could see if they could add this next time they were working on the “search” code. What does this have to do with you, and what’s up with the attitude?

I can see you now Patrice,but I couldn’t before.The writing,unmute,which I hadn’t seen[I feel like a tosser]I saw,and pressed unmute.I dont know how that happened.

I’m guessing the image server crashed? Hopefully the harddrive is intact.

Actually it was quite weird.Iwould see Patrices name on a topic,go over to it,to make sure she was there,but then she disappeared,And people would be saying halfway down the topic’Iagree with you Patrice’and’yes You’re quite right ,Patrice’ and I couldn’t see her.That happened for a few days.I was actually beginning to think she was muting me in some way.I must have accidentally muted Patrice and never saw the small words.Mystery solved,and I know where Patrice is coming from now,in a manner of speaking.

Haha…that’s funny Adam. I never muted you or anyone else for that matter. I understand why they have it, but it makes it hard to follow the dialogue if you mute someone and then someone else references their post.

I’m just too nosey to miss anything :)

Actually, I followed that drama, but for a few hours all the pictures and avatars were gone, redX. I checked the network. The server EN hosts thier images on was down.

I have a question, what if you want to remove a friend from your friend list?

Hi,Mark,Patrice’s absence occurred over several days.It was quite weird and interesting.I would see her at some topic,but when I went there,no Patrice,and people would be saying things to her and replying as usual,but she was invisible to me,and I could neither see her avataar nor any posts,like a ghost.It was perplexing,but actually interesting at the same time.Intriguing.
Then I saw that line of buttons.I’m not that blind to have missed them for 4/5 days.Maybe it was as you say a smaller glitch preceding the bigger glitch.
In actual fact,Mark,from where I’m sitting now,the forum is unsually quiet.Is something happening?

I wondered that too. I guess we could hack the system and delete their profile. :)

Yeah, one time I hit confirm friend instead of ignore and I don’t know how to delete the friend. I’d like my friends to see my pictures but then I’ve got others that I don’t really want to share.

Plus, you have to be a friend now to just send an email to someone.

I could never understand the point of having a person as a friend before? What special privledges did they have besides being able to see your pics or to say they were your friend?

And Mark was right, you need to put a space after your periods and Capitalize the first letter of the next sentence. It’s hard to read.

Another benefit to signing somebody up as a friend is that if you look at your profile (click “My Page”), just about every item on your page can be made visible to everyone or friends only.

If you want to un-friend somebody, email team@edisonnation.com and ask them to do it for you. We’ll build that feature at some point but it’s not really high on the list at the moment.
