I have all my tasks checked off but I did not receive the 25,000 points. Does anyone know if it takes a while to post to your account?

Athena, I’m sorry I missed your message. Michael is right, you’ll need to submit another idea in order to tick off that last checkbox. We gave credit in advance for three of the tasks (see my original note that started this thread for the list).

They really make you put on that thinking cap…. all done! Task complete…

It was my experience that it took a newly submitted idea. But perhaps an opt-in would work…don’t know/didn’t do it. Anybody?

Thanks Andrea and Michael. We’re okay. It was a long week. We were without during Irene too, so it was all too familiar. I used our wood stove for heat and cooking and packed the fridge and freezer with bags of snow. The hardest part was that my husband was away on business, so it was just me and the kids.

Shana, I have six kids and five are still living at home. Two are our foster children. One is about to turn a year old and her brother is five. He’s special needs, and the power outages have been difficult for him to understand. He would go around the house daily flicking switches and turning things on and off. It kept him occupied. :) Our own children are 18, 11, 10, and 9. I couldn’t help but use the time to come up with ideas too!

Toni, we’ll be relocating back to TN once we sell our home. I grew up in New England, but my southern husband is tired of the cold and snow. He’d envy you! He’s always dreamed of living in Florida.

Time to catch up on laundry, dishes, and grocery shopping. The fun never ends! lol

Betsy, if I understand you right, it is ok to submit an idea to ASOTV without a patent pending, and if they like it, EN will help with the process.
My other idea (patented) is being looked at by the licensing team.

Hi Shana, sorry you didn’t adjust to the heat. We have solved the heat problem here when the power outages happen.
We purchased a backup generator, so when the power goes out we stay cool. I just couldn’t take the cold anymore.

Haha, Toni. I just read your post. That’s so funny. I just moved here from Florida because I couldnt take the heat anymore! We had power outages all the time from the lightening and the hurricanes, and I have to say… When that AC goes off, there ain’t nothing that’s gonna fix the sweltering heat and humidity. Whereas up here… There are wood stoves, fireplaces, and huddling under blankets to get u thru the night. I guess I’m a New Englander at heart. My husband, tho, is like you… He’d prefer the heat. =)

Lisa, glad you’re back on. We had it bad in NH, too. Of course I couldn’t help but think of TWO new EN generator-improvement ideas during the outage. I’m driving my family crazy! I hope you had some family to shack up with or a generator. We were only out 2 days, but I had colleagues who were out all week. My cube-mate was melting snow on her wood stove for drinking water and showering at the gym. Have you recovered from the trauma? You have kids, right?

Linda, Eggies was an idea that popped into my head one morning, and a couple of hours later—-I submitted it. If it’s picked, EN does all the Patent work. (My name is even on the patent which is pretty cool!)

Welcome back Lisa. I have lots of family in Connecticut. They were all without electric too. That’s why we moved to Florida.

Points and forums aside, I’m really enjoying checking out everybody’s new blog posts, and seeing what they’re all about. There’s such a range and it’s great getting to know everybody that much more. It’s like gym class in 6th grade, when the teacher forced you to square dance with somebody you didn’t know, and you wound up with a new crush to accompany your red face. Thanks EN. Yee haw!

Shawna, I had my G8 for Eggies and I didn’t know about the forums either. I found them only by accident after clicking all the other tabs! And now look at me, a forum addict! Ha, ha

Matt – I am so grateful to EN for giving us “veterans” the opportunity to earn these bonus points too! Its exactly what I needed to get me over the hump for another free submission! Of course I used it as fast as I earned it.

I think its a great idea too because I was a member for months and didnt realize what the forums were. I even had 2 G7’s and missed all the dialog between fellow inventors who were also in the same boat. I have learned so much from participating in the forums that I still cant believe it took me so long.

Checked everything off except submitting a new idea. So now I will hopefully come up with another new invention.

EN pop up out of no where with a licensing proposal!
Where our rejected FUND submissions “QUALIFY” for the Insider Licensing Program, not all are considered for such, as evidenced
when Margaret wrote and asked specifically about hers.
