Your invention could be sold in Bed Bath & Beyond®. Edison Nation is seeking new product ideas to acquire that could be sold in Bed Bath & Beyond stores!

Going away to college or university means squeezing your whole world into a room the size of a closet. Bed Bath & Beyond has teamed up with Edison Nation to host the “Students of Invention” Search to find solution based product ideas that will help students conquer the challenges of dorm room living: space, organization, storage, cleaning, lighting, comfort and decorating.

For over 38 years, Bed Bath & Beyond has offered a wide range of useful and unique products of exceptional quality and value to its customers. What started as a small chain of linen and bath shops, is now the #1 home furnishing superstore in the United States with more than 900 Bed Bath & Beyond stores across the country.

Bed Bath & Beyond invites you to join the Edison Nation community and participate in their combined quest to find the future Students of Invention. Submit your innovative product ideas for consideration to be brought to market by one of America’s great companies: Bed Bath & Beyond.

Reward: Advance & Royalties

Licensed ideas will receive a $2,500 minimum advance on 20 years percentage of sales or buyout. We split the licensing royalties 50/50 with you on the products that we select. Royalties vary based upon the product but we always earn industry-leading rates.

Requirements

Your submission must be unique, innovative and useful.

Your idea must fall under the Bed Bath & Beyond merchandising strategy of offering a wide range of solution based products for college or university students’ dorm rooms and residences.

Your idea should be a product that immediately grabs a customer’s attention and will appeal to savvy students that look for and appreciate value, quality and functionality.

The cost to submit an idea at Edison Nation is just USD $25. This fee covers Edison Nation’s product screening process.

Eligibility: The Students of Invention Live Product Search is open to legal residents residing in the 50 United States and District of Columbia and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are at least 18 years of age. Void in Puerto Rico and other US territories. Employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings, and each of their spouses regardless of where they live) of Bed Bath & Beyond Inc., Edison Nation, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and anyone connected with the judging or management of this product search are not eligible to participate. If you are an active student, we encourage you to check with your school’s policy regarding IP before submitting.
