The Emmy award-winning television show, Everyday Edisons, is where successful products like the Gyro Bowl, Mister Steamy and Emery Cat got their start. Now in its 5th season, this is your chance to put your idea in the running to appear on the show and potentially become the next market hit!

This is an open call for innovation, so all ideas from consumer products to technology inventions will be considered. Think big – what is missing in today’s world of innovation?

Keep the following in mind:

• Can your idea or product appeal to a broad or mass market?

• Does your idea or product have the potential for high marketing and sales volume?

• What is the competitive landscape for your idea or product?

This search is the second of two open online casting calls for Season 5. After reviewing the ideas and picking the best of the best, we will fly up to 50 inventors to Charlotte for an in-person extravaganza. At the conclusion of the entire casting process, the Everyday Edisons team will select 10 great ideas to develop and feature on the show!

Requirements

We ask for well-communicated ideas. This includes filling out our easy-to-use submission form to the best of your ability. Upload images, sketches and any other media that support your idea. Tell us your story. We even encourage you to create a video demonstrating your innovation. Don’t worry. We aren’t expecting you to break out your inner Spielberg. Please keep videos to less than 2 minutes.

As always, your submission should be unique and protectable (patent protection is helpful but not a requirement).

Each idea costs just $25 ($20 for Edison Insiders) to submit. If you are an Edison Nation Insider, your idea may be submitted to as many searches as you would like at no additional cost. Click here for more details on Live Product Searches.
