Do you think of your best ideas in the shower? What about on your lunch hour? Or maybe your ideas come to you while sitting in traffic. No matter when it hits you – we believe everyone has a great idea for a new product. For those with an idea but nowhere to turn, we have created an open search for innovation.

At least one idea submitted to this search will be selected for Edison Nation’s Insider Licensing Program, regardless of patent protection, where our team of licensing experts will present your idea to targeted retailers and manufacturers for licensing opportunities.

Here are the details of what the selected idea(s) will receive:

• Edison Nation will file for a provisional patent application in your name

• The idea will be submitted to the Insider Licensing Program for (1) year with the goal of matching it up with a retailer or manufacturer (normally requires $100 fee and patent protection)

• The inventor will receive a free Edison Nation Insider membership for (1) year

• Edison Nation will split the royalties with the inventor of the selected idea(s) 50/50

Requirements

We ask for well-communicated ideas. This includes filling out our easy-to-use submission form to the best of your ability. Upload images, sketches and any other media that support your idea. Tell us your story. We even encourage you to create a video demonstrating your innovation. Don’t worry. We aren’t expecting a big-budget production. Please keep videos to less than 2 minutes.

As always, your submission should be unique and protectable (patent protection is helpful but not a requirement).

Each idea costs just $25 ($20 for Edison Insiders) to submit. If you are an Edison Nation Insider, your idea may be submitted to as many searches as you would like at no additional cost. Click here for more details on Live Product Searches.
