Our partner is a global consumer products manufacturing company seeking help from Edison Nation to identify affordable items that efficiently remove pet hair from soft surfaces. We’ve seen adhesive-based lint and hair rollers. You likely already own a vacuum for your carpets and hardwoods.

Our partner is looking or new pet hair technologies, products, or devices that are easy to use and remove pet hair from soft surfaces such as upholstered furniture, drapes, and fabrics found in their home or car.

We are interested in:

• Products/devices/technologies to remove all types of pet animal hair (coarse and fine) attached to the surface of or embedded into fabric-type materials.
• Products/devices/technologies that provide convenience (intuitive and easy to use) and avoid the need to touch the hair/dirt after use.
• Single use disposable products or multi-use durable/semi-durable devices with refills.
• Operation of durable/semi-durable devices could be continuous or semi-continuous and provide value to consumers with ingenious removal of pet hair.
• For single use disposable products, cost should be in line with similar products in the category. For durable and semi-durable devices, cost should be around $10.00 per unit.
• Can become proprietary, or at least exclusive to practice, in Food, Drug, Mass and Club channels.

We are not interested in:

• An adhesive-based device such as a lint roller that picks up hair on the surface.
• A device that is cumbersome like a full vacuum sweeper with attachments.
• A complicated device that requires significant technology development or high investment.

For this search, please submit your pet hair removal product concepts that make it easy to remove pet hair from soft surfaces. Your submission must be unique, patentable and potentially highly profitable.

To maximize the effectiveness of your submission, as well as your chances for selection, you are encouraged to submit media to help the evaluation process. Types of media include videos of you using or demonstrating your idea, pictures of prototypes or samples that you created, and drawings of your idea. Please make it easy for us to understand your idea.

Each idea costs just $25 ($20 for gold members) to submit and, as long as you maintain gold membership, your idea may be submitted to as many searches as you would like at no additional cost.

If your idea is selected, Edison Nation will pay you a $2,500 advance and a percentage of the revenue that Edison Nation generates from the sale of the product. There is no limit to the number of ideas that may be selected for this search.
