Description
The world of children and teens today is fast paced, hands on and all about experimentation. This can be easily seen in the food and beverage consumable space where they are instantly attracted to experiencing radical flavors (think: sour candy, fiery flavored chips) and experimenting with beverage concoctions (think: soda mixology or a trifecta of juices). Current home durable solutions are rather boring, not engaging or unappealing to the senses of children and teens.
Jarden Consumer Solutions wants to change this by enhancing the way this younger audience experiences everyday food and beverage. Today, Jarden’s well-known brands include Crock Pot, Mr. Coffee, Sunbeam and can be found in many home and kitchen good stores ranging from Walmart to Williams Sonoma, as well as online and in catalogs. However, these brands primarily target adults; for this search, Jarden Consumer Solutions is seeking your help as they expand their reach into the children and teen food and beverage space.
Jarden Consumer Solutions is now looking for innovative food and beverage durable products that would appeal to kids and teens. They wish to expand their current product portfolio to include products that will change the experience of eating or drinking into something more engaging and/or encourage experimentation.
What does this mean? This may include a product that enhances the process of consumption or a method of altering food and beverages in order to make kids want to consume them. Consider how you can create a must-have food or beverage product “WOW” experience for children and teens. Also, think about kids of all ages. Products may focus on a specific age group or may be adaptable and able to transition through several age groups, including the teenage years.
It’s important to consider the needs and desires of both children and their parents.
Kids and teens want:
- Instant satisfaction
- The “cool and hip” component
- Entertainment
- An interesting experience
Parents want:
- Encouragement of nutrition
- Ease of use and cleaning
- Durability
- Safety
Inside Scoop: Jarden Consumer Solutions is not looking for actual consumable food and beverages. They would only like to see new innovations – not simply adult products made appropriate and appealing to kids. To learn more about Jarden Consumer Solutions, please visit http://www.jardencs.com.
