Description
From hand saws to power drills, any homeowner who has attempted a DIY remodeling project knows that the better the tool, the easier the job. What new product ideas do you have that would make a renovation project easier, or the process of using tools smoother? Rexon, the company behind brands such as Porter-Cable, Craftsman and Kobalt is seeking new innovations in power tools to simplify use for both professional users and novice DIYers.
To celebrate their 40th Anniversary, Rexon looks to grow innovation within their product line to develop solutions that will make power tools – such as saws, sanders and drills – easier to use and more functional than ever before.
Key interests for this search include:
• Miter Saws (blade sizes 7 ¼, 8 1/4, 10, 12): both compound and slide miter saws
• Table Saws
• Workbench-related products such as belt/disc sanders
• Drilling-related products such as bench or floor drill presses
Remember, Rexon is looking for functional improvements and innovations to the power tools listed above. What will make your weekend warrior’s project easier to manage? What would help you get the project done faster, better, cleaner? Dust off your safety goggles and start thinking of ways to make using power tools easier for homeowners everywhere.

Requirements
We ask for well-communicated ideas. This includes filling out our easy-to-use submission form to the best of your ability. Upload images, sketches and any other media that support your idea. Tell us your story. We even encourage you to create a video demonstrating your innovation. Don’t worry. We aren’t expecting you to break out your inner Spielberg. Please keep videos to less than 2 minutes.
As always, your submission should be unique and protectable (patent protection is highly-preferred, but not a conclusive requirement).
Each idea costs just $25 ($20 for Edison Insiders) to submit and, as long as you maintain Edison Insider membership, your idea may be submitted to as many searches as you would like at no additional cost. Click here for more details on Live Product Searches.
