Retailers and manufacturers need innovative products. The problem is they are
often hesitant to work with independent idea people like you because they don't
have the infrastructure, time or process to pick that one home run from the
thousands of good ideas (and bad ones) they receive. Edison Nation
has developed a patent-pending screening process through our experience with
the television series Everyday Edisons that allows us to process thousands of ideas
each month to match the needs of the retail community.
Edison Nation has partnered with major retailers and manufacturers
to help you get your ideas to market.
Here's how Live Product Search works:
- We work with a retailer to identify a market segment that needs innovation and we create the search, including any specific requirements.
- You submit your innovative ideas online through our confidential Live Product Search database (prototypes are great but all we really need is a great idea).
- If your idea is selected for commercialization by the retailer, you will receive a market-leading annuity (how much?)
You will receive an annuity payment for successfully commercialized products of:
- 7.5% of net revenues (if any); plus
- 50% of licensing revenues (if any); plus
- 40% of assignment revenues (if any); plus
- 4% of brand revenues (if any)
- If your idea is not selected, we will keep your idea in our database to be included in future searches at no additional cost, increasing your chances of success
Sounds great. Who can submit ideas and how much does it cost?
Live Product Search is available to all Gold Members. Submitting an idea costs just $25 and even if your idea is not selected, it will
reside in our confidential database to be included in future searches at no additional cost as long as you maintain your gold
membership status. Of course, you may also opt your idea out of the database and pursue commercialization on your own at any
time if your idea is not selected.
Once I submit my idea, how do I know if my idea was selected?
As soon as you submit your idea, it will appear on your dashboard. As your idea progresses through each step of our patent-
