Everybody has a great idea that could change the way we work, the way we live or the way we play. Everyday Edisons, seen on PBS stations across America, documents the development process of 14 inventions and the parallel stories of the people who invented them. Selected from thousands, cameras follow the “Everyday Edisons” as they learn how their extraordinary ideas are taken from a sketch on a napkin to store shelves. The inventors are divided into two groups, and episodes 1-7 follow the development of the first seven inventions, while episodes 8-14 feature the second set of inventors and their products.

The 14 featured inventions are all examples of “Everyday Edisons” – ordinary people with simple solutions for the everyday problems we all face.Their ingenious inventions ease life’s complexities, make everyday processes more efficient and make our lives more enjoyable. Spanning an array of industries, each product offers a creative and original solution to a real-world problem. Each serves as a testament to the power of believing in yourself and your ideas.
