Couldn't resist..the story is too funny and the name is pretty relevant to this whole inventing process.....My wife and I were recently discussing our childhood memories....this was taking place at the dinner table in front of our two girls..All sorts of random subjects were in play..lemonade stands...tree-house construction.....we were contrasting our experiences and comparing them to those of our technologically "supplemented" children...though the 1970s and 1980s seem not that long ago....the differences in how we played as children are many....Anyway, this subject led me to a discussion where I explained to my wife that superhero adventures were a pretty big deal....We had Marvel Comics and some pretty cool characters...Capt. America..The Thing....etc...Naturally, my wife asked...."So, when you and the boys were playing SUPERHERO, which one were you?".... I always liked Capt. America but I was almost always assigned to be "DIVISION"...I told her how he could divide himself into matter....split his atoms if you will......she rolled her eyes and stated she had never heard of DIVISION....She asked me to show her a picture....No problem!...I was about to school this wife of mine...she was stepping out of her realm and into mine!!!...and I told her so!...All the while my girls are loving the increasing drama!......After dinner I quickly googled "DIVISION MARVEL"...uh-oh......no dice.....now, she is beginning to laugh and even suggested the big kids made up the name and then sent me off to play while they used the REAL characters....After more desperate searches for MY superhero I began to question even myself! No way! That is just silly! Of course DIVISION existed! I had his comics! So......the next day I called the local comic book store.....this WOULD BE PUT TO REST HERE AND NOW...I was so confident in fact, that I had my wife listen with me as I called the store on SPEAKERPHONE!!!......When the employee said he was not aware of any DIVISION character......well, the laughs could be heard through the entire town....It was official....the kids had made up a superhero....I was a nerd and the entire experience must have been a grand joke!......My wife called me DIVISION MAN for 2 weeks....but I was ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN he really existed....Hmmmm.....It was on.....It took me nearly a month to realize what happened.....In my old age, I had blended 2 words....THE and VISION......somehow, I had run the two together...space is getting a bit tight up there.....this was almost 35 years ago so I guess I have an excuse.....but...when the dust settled....THE VISION was not only a Marvel Character but he was one of THE AVENGERS and one heck of a SUPERHERO......We revisited this conversation recently and I thought how appropriate the name is for this whole inventing thing....THE VISION.....get it....keep it....don't lose it.

I love this quote....

Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently ________ they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.
