The Journey
January 20, 2012
Dear EN Community,
I have been a member of EN since the beginning and have experienced many great highs and lows. I have had the privilege of EN presenting over 50 (G7) ideas to various sponsors (50 R8’s). This effort obtained 4 contracts (2) licensing and 2 annuities. Three out of four contracts have ended in having the IP returned to me.
The amount of time an idea can sit at G7 can range from 1 day to over a year. I share my experience with you to give the community some perspective.
In all the hardship and uphill struggle against various headwinds I am pleased to see others succeed. Emery Cat, Gyro Bowl and Eggies are tremendous success stories that EN should be very proud of. I have had the pleasure of personally meeting Micheal
Deep (Emery Cat) at the Providence, R.I. casting call and can’t think of a more humble and deserving individual for financial success.
I have a dept of gratitude to each and every successful innovator that EN has cultivated. The quality and financial commitment of the recent sponsors appears to be escalating with each and every success. It really is a sense of community to see us all benefit by others home runs. Personally I remain optimistic yet perplexed as to why my passion for innovation remains strong. There are many pieces of the equation that have to come together to achieve a commercially successful product. I have come to learn some of the pieces are out of our control.
