Unless you’re a real saint, or stuck in the past technologically, you have probably downloaded some music without paying for it for listening during your morning jog. And if you swear you have never done such a thing, you surely know someone who has. Perhaps your kids or the guy in the cubicle next to you.

It seems harmless enough, but how big a deal is it really? Is it truly a crime? If so, how could you ever get caught and how severe can the punishment really be?
