I've done it! New source of electricity for the grid

I've stumbled across and perfected a method of converting molecular energy into electrical energy. The design has been shown to a few engineers who agree the design should work. I'm presently tooling and waiting for a few parts to arrive so I can build a prototype. The question is not will it work, but rather how much can it be optimized. Should it be patented or sold via NDA agreements, or finally should I find some scientific and business savvy people and build a company around it?
