Status of All my submissions and Ideas

August 21, 2008

I decided to post a status of all my stuff here. I thought it would be an easy way for people to check up and keep track of things. If everyone would do it then we could better gauge how things are progressing.

Fortunate 124 Rejection Email

October 02, 2008

Dear Inventor: On July 24, 2008 we requested an extension of sixty (60) days as a result of expressed interest in your product concept. During this time we have been in dialog with manufacturers and retailers in hopes of securing an immediate opportunity to bring your product to market. Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to do so, and as a result have released you from the agreement you executed. Before disappointment sets in, we would ask that you step back and understand that your product made it to final consideration by our review panel, and was chosen by a retailer for further consideration. Please let this news be an inspiration to you as an inventor. The fact that we have not been able to secure an agreement yet, doesn’t mean your product won’t eventually be successful. In fact, we have had manufacturers and retailers call us months after we have released a product only to indicate they are ready to move forward. Each year we see hundreds of great ideas that do not make the show. Often we are contacted by these inventors who found inspiration in their experience and had success taking their product to market on their own. To help you do the same, we have created Edison Nation (www.EdisonNation.com), an online resource dedicated to inventors helping inventors. Not only can you use Edison Nation to obtain referrals for reliable service providers but you can also take advantage of a new feature called Live Product Search (LPS). LPS hosts new idea searches each month from major retailers, much like our live casting calls. However, for your convenience it is all done online and takes just minutes to post your idea in response to a search. Even if your idea is not selected for one search, it will remain in our database to be considered for all future searches. As a special benefit to you as a Season 3 finalist, we are waiving the $25 submission fee and providing you the ability to upload your Season 3 submission to our database for consideration in all future Live Product Searches. Even though your idea was not selected for the show, it may be a perfect fit for a future search from one of our retail partners. Live Product Search is available only to Edison Nation Gold members, which is $9.25 per month. To find out more about the many additional benefits to Gold membership (such as a complimentary subscription to Inventors Digest, the ability to watch Everyday Edisons online, access to interviews with some of the brightest and successful minds, and much more) visit www.EdisonNation.com where you can create an account for free. You may cancel at any time – there are no minimum requirements. We have created a special Web address (just for you) to visit in order to qualify for your free submission. Please visit www.EdisonNation.com/EverydayEdisons/XXXXXXX to submit your idea to the Live Product Search database. If you cannot click on this link, then cut & paste this URL into your web browser. Best wishes as you pursue your journey as an inventor. It takes a rare mind to invent, and the fact that your invention was well received will hopefully provide you with the encouragement to continue. Sincerely, The Bouncing Brain Productions Team

I am setting up a subdomain on my website for EN users. Until Edison Nation gets a chat feature set up, I wanted to set up an interim solution.
The people of Edison Nation are a valuable resource. This hopefully will help us connect when conversation is needed.
There is no login required, just enter your username.
Give it a try and let me know what you think. Or give me suggestions and I will do my best to implement them.
