Women inventors group

March 26, 2008

Hi Ladies, The path to inventing and bringing your product to market can be bumpy and expensive. As an inventor who has received a formal education from mistakes I've made, I know how hard it is. We know the average woman wears 20 different hats everyday and somehow finds the time to be expert in everything she does..We are the best Mom's in the world, toy connoisseurs, whole house cleaning specialists, gourmet chefs, designers and beauticians..did I mention gardeners? In the process, we come up with thousands of ideas that can be moneymakers. It does not take a rocket scientist's understanding for any woman who has participated in inventor-related events to realize that inventing has pretty much a been man's world. There are hardly any women; I believe it's because women have been intimidated or discouraged by the powers that be. I have seen good inventions that are bound to fail from the start. Utility patents filed in error as design patents; patents with weak claims that get you a useless patent; inventors that fail to make a great prototype or ideas exposed before refinement(don't allow a fool, a buyer, or a child to see your product until it is ready)!! So, lets stick together, work together and help each other for success!
