Insider Licensing Program Question

alexcarzola's Avatargold

When it says your idea has passed stage 2, what does that mean.

There are 4 stages here.

Alex,

The wording confused me when I first joined Edison Nation, with the key word being "passed" there. It sounds like you are currently at Stage 2 of the 4 possbile ILP stages. Stage 2 is where EN basically does research and comparisons, patent research, potential market research, etc. to figure out whether or not your product concept stands a real chance of making some good sales on the market. All in all I would call that stage research and planning stage for lack of better words. If your idea moves to the ILP Stage 3 (pitching) thats when EN will market and look for a licensing partner on your behalf. The ILP is a bit different from the normal 8 stage process as can be seen here- https://www.edisonnation.com/faq/8-stage-evaluation-process

Chase, Kristina,

Thanks for the information. Yes the word passed

Is a little confusing. It’s almost like you passed but

Your not in the next level either. Kind of like a limbo.

Happy inventing to everyone!!!!

Thanks again

Alex
