I have spent hours writing my invention description  4 ... yes, 4 times!   It is nowhere near 500 words and yet when I get to almost the end, the entire thing disappears.   I don't know whether it is at my end or yours.   What is happening?!

Hi Rachel,

I'm sorry to hear you are having difficulties. We are not experiencing any issues on our side - I just tested the system and am not showing an error within the description field.

Please ensure you are completing all required fields and clicking on "Save and Continue" at the bottom of the screen and the submission form should advance you automatically to the next step.

Can you please send a screenshot of the error you are receiving to questions@edisonnation.com so we can investigate further?

RC!

This is not a fix but what i do because this has happened to me on other sites...

I will write a paragraph and then save and continue, then i will go back and add another section of text and save. More time consuming but you don't lose everything and have to start over.

Again, not a fix but gets you where you need to be..

Hope this helps in the short term.

TC

You may consider initially writing your entire description in a Word Document offline, before submitting. That way, you can edit and save your idea in advance.

When you are ready to submit, open up your Word Document, copy and paste each section into the submission boxes.

If you have any problems during the submission process, simply copy and paste your same words again from the saved document, without rewriting, or the worry of losing anything.
