Hmmm.

This challenge isn't child's play, you'll need a smart technical solution to fill and tie off so many balloons in an affordable and easy way.

I have an idea, but it seems so obvious that it's Probly already out there.  Hmmm...  guess I've got some work to do.  :)

The "obvious" ideas are the ones that are intuitive and get licensed. If it survives your prior art search, you might be in great shape.

Do your research, and if the path is clear, and it looks good, GO FOR IT Kim.

This is so exciting. I had 3 ideas but chose to go with just one.

After 4 thought out design fails, I think I got it.

Not sure if I can develop a prototype plus a video in time though, but this is definitely great fun.

This is so exciting! Not sure I am going to make the deadline for entry though. Still trying!

You have plenty of time Karen.  Search doesn't close till June 5.  You don't have to have your prototype perfected before the deadline.  If you are confident in your idea, just submit it and keep working on the prototype and add it later.

Thank you Derrick I didn't quite understand that part of the process.
Do you know how much time there is after submitting an idea there is until a prototype can be added?

Karen, you can wait until they ask for one.  As long as your idea is easy to understand without it, they may not even need one. If it's key to getting what you're doing, then you can always enter the search before the deadline and then add it as soon as it's ready - although you do run the risk of the team not understanding the idea if they review it before it's added. It usually takes a few days after you enter for them to get started, but the later you enter, the quicker they tend to do their initial review.  Hope that helps.

Hi Karen!

We do not require a prototype to be added to a submission to evaluate it. That being said, you're welcome to update any submission with imagery and/or prototype information if you have it available up until Stage 7.

We are working with our web team to update our notification process for when submissions are changed, but until then, please always send a note to questions@edisonnation.com noting the title of the idea and that you updated it to doubly-ensure that the additions are reviewed.

Best of luck!

Ok Michelle thank you so much for letting me know!

I apologize as I am unfamiliar with the process but excited to finally be able to try something with EN.

No apologies necessary Karen.  Just keep on asking questions, that's the only way you'll learn.  Use the community as a learning resource.  That's what the forums are for.  Also, Michelle and Kristina are here to provide official responses from EN, and they do a good job of explaining the process and answering other questions.

Enjoy this search, but try not to stress over it too much as you move through the different stages.  It can be an exciting ride, but it's never fun to see those nasty red X's (actually it's more of a white X with red background shading, but the effect is still the same) especially when they happen at stage 8 (R8).  Stay green!!!

I  understand completely Derrick and none of us at our respective ages have gotten this far without a few red X's at some point in life.

My excitement is purely an opportunity to work on something that I can hopefully submit to EN.

Typically I do novelties and most are seasonal.
