Chefman is the fastest growing brand in kitchen electrics in North America.

Chefman is seeking various forms of innovation, whether hardware solutions to everyday challenges or software and mobile app technologies that enhance the user experience of small kitchen appliances.

The Chefman brand exists to fill a void on retail shelves and in consumer kitchens for a truly value-focused kitchen appliance. Interesting...

Although there is not much info in their About section of the company's website regarding the corporation itself, Walmart.com is filled with Chefman products...must be a good company...

The brand seems to be held by RjBrands... some holding company I think...

Let's get at it again ;)

Yowza! It took me like thirty seconds to get their sell sheet...sheesh

It's a waffle maker you fill from the top.

(I even had to start reading some of the words!)

There are two weeks left in this search.

I spent some time on the Chefman website reading press releases, etc.  In my opinion this is a search you are going to want to enter if you have any innovations for small appliances.  This company is aggressive, nimble and fast growing.  They love innovation and new designs.  And they have a smart and unique business model.  Two weeks is time enough to come up with some great ideas.

Its definitely worth taking a second look at this search if you haven't already.

Best of luck

Yes. Two weeks is enough time. But for what?

Hmm...

By Jove!

Fred - you are spot on in your assessment. Let me explain further...ever since our introductory call where we learned about their vision and direction, we have had pretty regular calls during the search. The other day I was speaking with our contact about the timeline, discussing proposed dates of presentation, etc. and he asked how things were going, what types of submissions....basically was poking around to see if any sneak peek on highly regarded innovations so far.

So I took the opportunity to highlight a few concepts at 30,000 foot level, and he was intrigued....so much so that for one early submission that we have vetted through, we shared a video of the prototype.

He spent some time on the call today trying to explain to me exactly how much he was smiling after seeing the video...and we also chatted about a couple of other interesting submissions....and they are very excited to see the final results of the search.

They are a very aggressive company in their growth plans, and how their products integrate into lifestyles, etc.

Going to be a fun ride with these folks !

Hi my name is Matthew Miller  and I had a quick question  about the submission  is a microwave too large to be a small product

posted    Report this post
magurn's Avataren_staff_badge

Hi Matthew!

This is a bit borderline. Chefman does not currently have microwaves in their product line, but they do have countertop toaster ovens. If you feel your design is in alignment with their brand (chefman.com), you're welcome to submit.

Best of luck!

Racing the clock to get my idea in!!!! Now that I've finished with the introductory Margaritaville products, I can finally get back to inventing. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to get ideas that I've kept in my pocket into some presentable form. But this one is too much fun to pass up. So I'll be submitting an idea a bit prematurely, and crossing my fingers!!! Good luck, fellow EN inventors!!!

You and me both Rafael. I have SO many ideas in my notebooks, in my head and even in the form of working prototypes, but getting them into *presentable* form for submissions is a whole other ballgame, and time is the enemy!

Rafael - alas I have a number of ideas that would be suitable but, as I said, time is the enemy and I just don't have time to get them in presentable form.

I may still get one or two in - I have until 3AM my time!

Waiting for my freshly filmed video to upload.

Oh, it's a ruff'n alrighty.

You know how; when you see like; the early prototype, then the next prototype, then the final product? Mine is like in between the first stage and before the first stage.

To EN & CHEFMAN,

Sorry for the late entry.

To all other last minute-r's,

Better late than never!

Hi~

I submitted two ideas to this challenge. As it progresses through the stages, I was wondering if Chefman is involved from stage 1 or do they only see the ideas that get past a certain stage, for example, EN's Initial Review stage?

magurn's Avataren_staff_badge

Hi BearPaw!

The Chefman team only reviews products that reach Stage 7 in the evaluation process - those that are considered Finalists. The Edison Nation evaluation team handles all review prior to that point, ensuring the partner sees the "best of the best" in presentation.

Thank you!

Great attitude Robert! One of my favorite books is "Getting it Right the Second Time." So many iconic products failed or were rejected out of the gate. But the manufacturer or marketer reworked the product or its marketing position and bam!! Huge success!!! Cheers Robert. Best of luck in All Cat!

Hey guys!

So, strike that, we actually have 12 submissions in this search! We had an inventor who had initially been declined who received feedback, updated his submission and opted it into the All Category Search with the notation that he would love to have the opportunity to have it reconsidered for Chefman.

To learn more about searches and the opt in process, you may (wink wink) want to check out Room 5 today!

Never give up hope! I took my declined/R4 Chefman search submission (which had previously received another R4 in ASOTV) and re-submitted it to "All Category" with pretty heavy-duty enhancements based on feedback and including additional material (mainly a prototype demo video) I had been working on for a while. I sent an email alerting EN that I had re-submitted/insider opted-in and improved my submission. I also expressed my belief that it could still be suitable for Chefman or for another company.

Lo and behold, my previously-declined idea was #12 presented to Chefman today! Whatever happened today, I'm glad I didn't give up on this idea! I have other submissions/ideas that I have justifiably let go, either based on EN's feedback or my own analysis, but some of them are worth pounding away at...
