Do you have a great idea for the next big kids’ product or toy?

Everyday Edisons is looking for 10 great ideas to feature and develop on its next season.

For this casting call, Everyday Edisons wants to consider your great ideas for the next hit kids’ product or toy as part of the lineup of inventions to be featured on Season 4.

Your idea for a new and innovative kids’ product or toy should be intended for children anywhere from birth – 12 years of age.

Keep in mind that top ideas will:

• Appeal to a broad or mass market
• Be considered consumer products
• Have high marketing and sales volume potential

All you need is a well-communicated idea for a new kids’ product or toy. We consider concepts of all levels, whether it’s just an idea, a prototype, a finished product or a patented idea. All are welcome!

Simply complete the online submission process and submit any supporting electronic files you may have (digital photos, sketches, etc.). While not required, we highly recommend you to submit video of yourself demonstrating a prototype and explaining the features and benefits of your submission.

Everyday Edisons bases its selection of the featured inventions on three main criteria:

1) Fit – Does Everyday Edisons have the skill sets and category knowledge to develop the product within a year?

2) Marketability – Is there a need or demand for the product?

3) Patentability – Is it unique, and could the intellectual property be protected?

Each idea costs just $25 ($20 for Edison Insider members) to submit. Edison Insider members may opt in their existing ideas submitted to previous Edison Nation Live Product Searches for Season 4 consideration as long as you maintain Insider membership. Edison Insiders can also use their accumulated points toward Everyday Edisons casting call submissions. Click here for more details on rules to submitting to Everyday Edisons Season 4 casting calls.

Is my idea secure?

Yes! Every idea that is submitted to Edison Nation remains private. If your idea is selected to be presented to a partner, we have strict NDAs in place. Your intellectual property is extremely important to us.

If my idea is selected, what do I get?

If your idea is selected for licensing, we will remain in contact with you and our partner from the moment the deal is signed until it is ready for the marketplace. Our team negotiates competitive royalty structures and all licensing revenues are split 50/50 with you, the original inventor.

Why do I have to pay $25?

$25 is a nominal fee to help offset the costs Edison Nation takes on to review each idea that's submitted. It is a one-time cost. If your idea is selected for licensing, we will navigate the road to commercialization -- all at no cost to you. If you are an Edison Nation Insider, the submission fee is only $20!

What do I need to submit?

We'll review all ideas, whether it's a sketch on a napkin or a prototyped invention. You don't need a patent to submit an idea to Edison Nation.
